Bonsoir chers parents!
My name is Charlène Pham and I will be teaching Beginning French at the Davis Art Center this year! I am extremely thrilled to get to know all the children and teach them French! Not only will I teach them French but I will also be incorporating culture and history to broaden their worldly knowledge, which I am truly most excited about.
These past couple weeks have been quite focused on the basics such as introductions, colors, favorite animals, days of the week and the months, numbers according to age and most commonly used phrases such as:
Thank you/you're welcome - Merci/ De rien
Please/excuse-me - S'il vous plait/ excusez-moi
What is your name? - Comment t'appelles-tu?
How old are you? - Quel age as-tu?
What is your favorite color? - Quelle est ta couleur préferè?
What is your favorite animal? Quel est ton animal préferè?
We will be tackling the alphabets and more basics next week before getting into more specifics subjects! There will be lots of games and lots of fun planned ahead!
I am truly delighted to be working with such brights kids this semester! If you ever have any questions, comments or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me via email at cttpham@ucdavis.edu :)
Thank you all for taking the time to read this blog and I wish you a great weekend!
Charlène Pham

Welcome Spanish Intermediate - Korematsu
¡Hola padres de TALK! ☺
My name is Teresa Herrera-Guerrero and I will be teaching Spanish Intermediate at Korematsu this year (yay!).
This past week we reviewed introductions, and greetings. The kids worked on an "About Me" page where they got to write a little bit more about their favorite things (such as their favorite foods, colors, season, movies, and more), using full Spanish sentences!
Here is a list of the things reviewed in class last week that you can practice at home with your child:
