These past few weeks our students at North Davis have been learning new material as well as reviewing and reinforcing past material. Our Beginner Spanish Class has been practicing how to ask basic questions such as: ¿Quién? ¿Qué? ¿Por qué? ¿Dónde? ¿Cuál? ¿Cómo? y ¿Cuánto?. Besides these vocabulary terms, our class also practiced asking each other some questions important in starting a conversation with someone.

¿De dónde eres?. Also, during one of our review days,
the students got to review food vocabulary as well as colors and animals in Spanish by asking: ¿Cuál es tu comida favorita? ¿Qué color te gusta más? ¿Cuál es tu animal favorito?. First, each student practiced answering these questions on their own by writing them down. Later that week we played "Carousel" and each student got to ask and answer questions with a different classmate.

During "Review Week" students got to make their own "Cootie Catcher" to help them review colors, numbers and asking and answering questions.
Another activity our class really enjoyed was making our own "Guess Who" game boards when we were learning about professions. Each student selected their favorite nine professions and included those in their game board. At the end of the week students got to play the game of "Adivina quien".
Hope you enjoyed reading a little bit about what our class has been working on. The students have been doing an amazing job everyday in class and I encourage them to continue practicing the material we learn in class at home with their siblings and parents. Please feel free to contact me at yromogonzalez@ucdavis.edu if you have any questions or comments about our class.
¡Muchas gracias!
