These past two weeks the kids and I have been reviewing clothing vocabulary as well as family members. We have covered summer and winter clothing and making associations between clothing and body parts. For example, socks go on our feet. The kids learned how to conjugate the verb to wear (llevar) and also have learned how to describe their family members using adjectives and the verb to be (ser) and to be named (llamarse).
The kids did a variety of activities from playing match the pairs, to playing the hot seat which was their favorite! For this game, they got to draw on the big whiteboard. A kid sat facing the class and another one drew a clothing item such as socks, pants, skirt, etc. Then, their peers had to give the kid on the chair hints using body parts so they could guess what the other student had drawn behind them!
They also worked on sentence building and were able to verbally produce a sentence on their own describing a family member!
