Beginner's Spanish - Birch Lane

¡Hola padres de Birch Lane! Hello Birch Lane parents!

We have now finished week 6 of our Spanish classes. It has been a pleasure working with you and your children; they're great! 

So far we have learned how to introduce ourselves, the alphabet, numbers (1-30), colors, shapes, fruits and vegetables.

To learn shapes (figuras) and review colors (colores), we created them 

with different colored play-do.

 We also created shapes with our bodies!

A rectangle (un rectángulo) 

We also attempted a circle 😁 (un círculo)

For fun, we also played Halloween and Day of the Dead (Día de los muertos) bingo. 

The winners get tickets for prizes!

We have been practicing tying everything together by introducing themselves with their name, age, they favorite colors or colors they like, and a fruit that they like. Make sure to ask them at home for extra practice!

For the next couple of weeks, we'll be learning more food items such as breakfast foods, lunch, dinner, dessert, etc.
